General Job Description

 

The Project Coordinator will perform a full range of tasks in MPR’s project life cycles. This individual will work with Program Managers, Project Managers and project teams within multiple business areas to execute against project plans. These coordination (and administrative) responsibilities will be on projects of varying size and complexity. The ideal candidate will be a responsible, resourceful, and organized professional that will become an integral part of our project teams. This is a full-time, exempt position that will report to the Vice President of Federal Services.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Engage in complex time-sensitive contract management tasks.
  • Collaborate with In-House Counsel, Contracts, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Accounting, Project Assistants, and Program/Project Managers on project and client needs.
  • Facilitate all aspects of subcontractor onboarding, including the generation of contract and quality assurance documentation, filing insurance requirements, tracking small business status, reviewing deliverables, and approving invoices.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for subcontracts on all non-technical aspects of the project.
  • Track program, project, and task performance data to determine resource availability, monitor funding, track government small business reporting, and brief company leadership on status and trends.
  • Actively research and understand client business issues and challenges.
  • Manage proposal generation activities and maintain project files.
  • Utilize various Document Management Systems to manage and streamline the handling and tracking of project documentation.
  • Interpret and track compliance with government contractual requirements, including the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs and DFARs).
  • Facilitate the writing, updating, disseminating, tracking, and management of contractual Quality Assurance documentation.
  • Assist in the delivery of timely project financial information, including monthly accrual and budget forecasts, substantiated with appropriate backup documentation.
  • Prepare project status and contract-related correspondence to clients, subcontractors, project team members, and leadership.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance required. 

Education & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience in commercial and/or government contracting preferred.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory landscape and trends impacting engineering services organizations performing work for the Federal government.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or other relevant project management certification(s) a plus.

 

Skills - Technical

 

  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook).
  • Experience utilizing Document Management Systems.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance programs a plus.
  • Experience with Primavera a plus.

 

Skills - Personal

 

  • Strong self-leadership, with the ability and motivation to identify areas where they can be of assistance and where process improvements can be made.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and written) in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Strong questioning attitude and the ability to accept that in others.

  • Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly adjust to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with multiple levels of management.
  • Motivated to expand skills and knowledge, as well as tackle new problems and take on new responsibilities.
  • Solid proofreading skills.
